Available Franchise Territories
Ridley Locksmith & Security runs on protected territories. When you claim a market, you own it. No other Ridley location will take calls inside your lines, and no one else will carry the Ridley name or the 365-Day Done Right Promise in your backyard. That’s the entire point: you build the reputation, you keep the customers, and you don’t compete against your own brand. Right now, every Ridley territory in the country is open. Twelve states, zero claimed. The first owner in each market gets the whole map and the strongest possible start: a brand with a 20-year operating history through Garrison Partners, a written guarantee on every job, and a live person answering the phone 24/7. No franchisee has ever inherited a cleaner opening position than a first-mover in an open Ridley territory.
Open Markets
Every state below is currently available for a new Ridley Locksmith & Security territory. When a market is claimed, it closes, and the owner inside it is the only Ridley operator for that area, period.
- Texas – Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and Austin all run on single-family homes and aging commercial storefronts. Rekey demand in Texas metros is constant, and high-security hardware work follows the oil, medical, and defense office space.
- Florida – Snowbird turnover means thousands of lock changes every spring and fall. Coastal condo associations and vacation rental managers need rekeying on a schedule, which builds recurring commercial revenue fast.
- California – The single largest locksmith market in the country. Property managers in the Bay Area and Southern California rekey between tenants weekly, and high-security lines like Medeco and Mul-T-Lock are spec’d into a huge share of commercial builds.
- Georgia – Atlanta’s suburban ring keeps expanding, and with it comes new construction lockout work, rental turnovers, and small business storefront security. A dense, drivable market with strong dispatch economics.
- North Carolina – Charlotte and the Research Triangle have grown faster than local locksmith capacity. Homebuilders, property managers, and office parks all need a service that shows up inside the window and puts the price in writing.
- Arizona – Phoenix and Tucson heat kills cheap lock hardware fast. Deadbolts, smart locks, and commercial panic bars all fail earlier in the desert, which means more repair and replacement calls per customer than almost any other climate.
- Tennessee – Nashville’s growth plus Memphis and Knoxville’s stable commercial base make this a balanced market. Rekey work from rental turnover and light commercial security both run steady here.
- Ohio – Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati have older housing stock with worn hardware and a lot of small manufacturing and retail spaces that need master key systems and rekeys. Loyal, repeat-heavy customer base.
- Pennsylvania – Philadelphia row homes, Pittsburgh’s hills, and the warehouse corridors in between all create steady residential and commercial locksmith demand. Older buildings mean more mechanical lock work, which is exactly what Ridley technicians are trained for.
- Colorado – Denver and the Front Range have a strong property management sector and a fast-growing commercial base. Smart lock installs and rekey work between tenants are both high-frequency jobs here.
- Washington – Seattle’s tech offices and the surrounding suburbs mix high-security commercial hardware with steady residential work. Tech tenants spec Mul-T-Lock and Abloy, and property managers want a vendor that answers the phone live.
- Virginia – Northern Virginia feeds off DC-area commercial and government-adjacent office space, while Richmond and Hampton Roads supply dense residential demand. A high-security hardware market with strong contract potential.
How Territories Work
A Ridley territory is a protected service area. Once you own it, you are the only Ridley Locksmith & Security location permitted to operate inside those boundaries. The brand does not overlap territories, does not sell the same zip codes twice, and does not route leads from your market to another owner. Your territory is yours. The customers you build relationships with stay yours, and the repeat rekey and commercial work that comes from doing the job right compounds in your name.
Reserving a territory starts with a conversation. You call the franchise sales line at (956) 275-7388, tell us which market you’re looking at, and we check current availability. There is no auction and no pressure to bid against another buyer. If the territory is open, we walk you through the full process: the Garrison Standard operating requirements, the training path for high-security hardware certifications, the written guarantee system every Ridley location runs on, and what your first 90 days look like. When both sides agree, the territory is reserved and closed to any other prospect. From that point forward, you are the Ridley owner for that market, full stop.
The brand has been operating under The Garrison Standard since 2007. That standard is non-negotiable: show up inside the window you gave, put the price in writing before any work starts, do it by the book the first time, leave the site clean, and stand behind the work for a full year. Every location, including yours, runs on that code. The protected territory is what keeps your investment safe. The standard is what makes customers call back.
